EBDA Board
Affiliation with the Economic Development Group of Kittitas County (EDGKC)
EBDA and the EDGKC operate essentially as one by sharing Board Members, common goals and objectives, office space and staff, but they retain their own separate tax status and legal identity.
Together they provide economic development services for the entire county.
History
The Ellensburg Business Development Authority (EBDA) is a public development authority created by the City of Ellensburg in 1994 to manage the Ellensburg Business Incubator and provide economic development services for the city. Later, in 2001, EBDA built and now manages the Airport Industrial Park. EBDA is a nonprofit corporation with a [501(c)6] tax status. A nine-member Board appointed by the Ellensburg City Council governs it and meets every other month.
All nine Board Members also hold seats on the Economic Development Group's Board. The Officers of both Boards comprise the Executive Committee.
In 1995 an Executive Director was hired to operate both these entities. An office was established at the Incubator. In December of 2004, moved into our new offices at 221 E 4th Street. This location is more accessible to our clients and allows better access to county and city offices, CWU, and other partners.
