About Us
The Economic Development Group is actively involved in improving the business climate of our county by increasing the tax base, helping existing businesses expand and become more profitable, and attracting new businesses to our community.
These activities stimulate our economy and help create jobs for our citizens.
Our Mission
The mission of the Economic Development Group is to provide active leadership that promotes business and stimulates economic growth in Kittitas County.

History of the Organization
The Economic Development Group was created in 1998 and designated by the Kittitas County Commissioners as the Associate Development Organization for the county.
In 2004 the organization changed their name from Phoenix Economic Development Group to The Economic Development Group of Kittitas County (EDGKC) to better reflect the organization as a whole.
The Economic Development Group of Kittitas County is a nonprofit corporation with a Federal [501(c)3] tax status and is governed by a 19-member Board of Directors.

| In order to meet its mission and achieve its vision, the EDG will pursue four Strategic Objectives, each with a set of actions designed to guide the activities of the EDG. There will be one committee responsible for each Strategic Objective and the implementation of the set of actions during the next two to three years. |
